Once you have purchased your make-up brushes, do you look after them?

Do you ever stop to think about the results of not washing them? SPOTS

Here are my few tips.

Wash all your brushes thoroughly every eight weeks at the very least. If you let someone else use a brush, wash it before using it again yourself.

There are several professional brush cleaners available to buy, but they do tend to be a bit harsh. So I save money by using just a touch of gentle baby shampoo in warm water. This should avoid any skin irritation. Rinse the brushes really well and reshape the bristles while still damp. Allow time for them to dry naturally and thoroughly before using again

.

It’s a good idea to keep different brushes for light and dark shades of eye shadow, to avoid bark smudges when applying alight shade. You can now buy packs of the little foam tipped applicators to use for really dark colours.

Avoid really cheap brushes as they will not last long, so are not economical in the long run.
