Face creams and oils are too heavy for the eye area, so you need to choose a specialist eye product most suited to your skin type to prevent aggravation.

The most popular products are the light creams and balms, while gel based products are best for young and oily skin types. Only use a small amount and use it regularly to see an improvement in your under eye area.

When applying eye cream use a tapping motion to encourage excess fluid to drain away from the skin.

Store creams in the refrigerator, the coldness will help reduce puffiness.

An old favourite is to lay slices of cucumber on your eyes for twenty minutes.

Fifteen minutes with two damp teabags over your eyes are helpful in removing under eye bags.

Soak two cotton pads in chilled rose water, squeeze out the excess and rest them on your eyes for twenty minutes.
